# Can I install Power Monitor on my own infrastructure?

Power Monitor is SaaS-only. Understand why and what this means for the security of your data.

Power Monitor is an **exclusively SaaS** (Software as a Service) solution. There is currently **no** option for on-premises installation or installation on the customer's infrastructure.

### Why is Power Monitor SaaS-only?

* **Automatic updates:** new features and fixes arrive with no action from the customer;
* **Zero infrastructure maintenance:** Power Tuning operates the entire platform on Microsoft Azure;
* **Installation in minutes:** there is no need to provision servers, configure networks, or install agents;
* **Continuous monitoring:** the checks run 24 hours a day, without depending on a customer server being turned on.

### What does this mean for the security of my data?

Power Monitor accesses **metadata** from your environment through the official Microsoft APIs, with an application registered in **your** Entra ID and under your control. The business data of your models and reports **is not copied**. See [Data security and privacy](/en/perguntas-frequentes/duvidas-tecnicas/seguranca-e-privacidade.md).

### I have LGPD restrictions. What should I do?

The collected metadata (item names, refresh status, capacity consumption) is generally not personal data. The personal data processed (users' emails and logins and, when enabled, activity records) is used only for the performance of the contract, in accordance with the LGPD (Brazilian General Data Protection Law).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.powermonitor.com.br/en/perguntas-frequentes/duvidas-tecnicas/posso-instalar-na-minha-infraestrutura.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
