# KQL Dashboards

Inventory of the Microsoft Fabric KQL Dashboards (Real-Time Dashboards) published in the monitored workspaces.

The **KQL Dashboards** screen lists the Microsoft Fabric real-time dashboards (*Real-Time Dashboards*), which display KQL queries over Eventhouses and KQL databases, published in the monitored workspaces.

**How to access:** menu *Governance › Reports › KQL Dashboards*. Available to all profiles.

## What it is for

* Inventory the environment's real-time dashboards and their owners.
* Find dashboards created or changed recently (or abandoned), using the date filters.
* See who has access to a dashboard and which items it depends on, in the details modal.
* Access the dashboard directly in Fabric from the inventory.

The screen follows the [common structure of the Governance lists](/en/power-monitor/governanca/relatorios.md#common-structure-of-the-lists), with one difference: the details modal opens from the actions menu (**⋮** button or right-click on the row), not with a simple click on the row.

## Features

All the features below start from the menu *Governance › Reports › KQL Dashboards* and are available to all profiles.

### KQL Dashboards counter

**What it is:** the **KQL Dashboards** badge, next to the section title, with the total of the list.

**What it is for:** find out how many real-time dashboards exist in the monitored workspaces.

**How to use:** read the number on the badge; when you apply filters, it shows the total of the filtered subset.

**How it works:** it counts only dashboards from monitored workspaces that still exist in the tenant.

### Date filters

**What it is:** the **Created on** and **Modified on** range filters, above the table.

**What it is for:** find dashboards created recently (for review) or not changed in a long time (candidates for removal).

**How to use:**

1. In the **Created on** or **Modified on** filters, fill in the start date, the end date, or both.
2. The table is filtered automatically. Clear the dates to return to the full list.

**How it works:** when you fill in the start date, the list is sorted by the corresponding date, from oldest to most recent.

### Column filters and sorting

**What it is:** text boxes in the header of the **ID**, **Name**, **Workspace**, **Created by** and **Modified by** columns, and sorting by the title of any column.

**What it is for:** find a dashboard or list the dashboards of a workspace or of an author.

**How to use:**

1. Type the term in the filter box below the title of the **ID** (*Item ID*), **Name** (*Item name*), **Workspace** (*Workspace name or ID*), **Created by** or **Modified by** column. The table is filtered automatically.
2. Click the column title (for example, **Modified at**). The first click sorts in descending order (from most recent to oldest); click again to reverse it.

**How it works:** all columns are sortable. 10 items per page.

### KQL Dashboards table

**What it is:** the list of dashboards with identification, location, authorship, dates and tags.

**What it is for:** find out who created and who maintains each real-time dashboard.

**How to use:** read the row's columns; use the **⋮** button to open the details or the dashboard in Fabric (clicking the row does not open the modal).

**How it works:**

| Column | Description |
| -------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------- |
| **ID** | Identifier (GUID) of the dashboard in Fabric. |
| **Name** | Name of the dashboard. |
| **Workspace** | Workspace where the dashboard is located. |
| **Created by** / **Modified by** | Accounts of creation and of the last change. |
| **Created at** / **Modified at** | Dates of creation and of the last change. |
| **Tags** | Tags assigned in Fabric. |
| **⋮** | Row actions menu. |

### Actions menu

**What it is:** this screen's **⋮** button menu (also opened by right-clicking the row), with **Open details** and **Open in Power BI**.

**What it is for:** open the dashboard details or go from the inventory straight to the real-time dashboard to view or edit it.

<figure><picture><source srcset="/files/lYw0ee9hsm4JHxbEBpQf" media="(prefers-color-scheme: dark)"><img src="https://3938213054-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FH2bFRBmIfyK3kwVKbldl%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-73129ca7072f971cd379c2ebfbdba5a15184cace%2Fpm-governanca-kql-dashboards-menu-acoes-en.png?alt=media" alt="Actions menu of a KQL Dashboard with the Open details and Open in Power BI options"></picture><figcaption><p>Actions menu of a KQL Dashboard</p></figcaption></figure>

**How to use:**

1. Click the **⋮** button at the end of the row, or right-click the row.
2. Click **Open details** to open the details modal, or **Open in Power BI** to open the dashboard in the Fabric portal, in a new browser tab.

**How it works:** to open the dashboard in Fabric, you need access to it.

### KQL Dashboard details

**What it is:** the dashboard details modal, opened through **⋮ › Open details**, with the **Overview**, **Users & Permissions** and **Dependencies** tabs.

**What it is for:** see the dashboard's properties, who has access to it and which items (for example, KQL databases) it depends on, before changing or removing something.

<figure><picture><source srcset="/files/cUHRkhueT2Qj1DUbAzqc" media="(prefers-color-scheme: dark)"><img src="https://3938213054-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FH2bFRBmIfyK3kwVKbldl%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-82c2fddc500b34f78ea36b503f4f6b91c627bac4%2Fpm-governanca-kql-dashboards-modal-detalhes-en.png?alt=media" alt="Details modal of a KQL Dashboard on the Overview tab, with the Identification, Dates and Capacity and location sections"></picture><figcaption><p>Details of a KQL Dashboard</p></figcaption></figure>

**How to use:**

1. Click **⋮ › Open details** on the dashboard row. The modal opens on the **Overview** tab.
2. Switch tabs using the bar at the top of the modal, or close it with the **X**.

**How it works:** the **Overview** tab follows the [common structure](/en/power-monitor/governanca/relatorios.md#the-overview-tab); **Users & Permissions** and **Dependencies** follow the standard [details modal](/en/power-monitor/governanca/relatorios.md#the-details-modal).

## Rules and behavior

* The details modal opens only from the actions menu (**⋮** button or right-click on the row); a simple click on the row does not open anything.
* The [common list rules](/en/power-monitor/governanca/relatorios.md#rules-that-apply-to-all-lists) apply.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.powermonitor.com.br/en/power-monitor/governanca/relatorios/kql-dashboards.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
