# How does the 30-day trial work?

How the Power Monitor 30-day free trial period works and what happens at the end.

The Power Monitor trial period lasts **30 calendar days**, counted from the activation of your organization during installation.

### What is included?

Full access to **all features**. It is not a reduced version of the product.

### Do I need a credit card?

No. During installation you provide the organization's billing information and check the consent *"I agree to the start of automatic billing after the end of the free trial period, unless I request cancellation beforehand."* Without this consent, the installation does not proceed.

### How do I keep track of the deadline?

* While the trial is active, a **notice at the top of the screens** shows the expiration date and how many days are left, with shortcuts to review the billing information and to request cancellation. The notice can be closed, but it appears again when you change screens.
* The organization also receives **reminder emails** 7 days and 1 day before the end of the trial, and on the last day.

### What happens at the end of the 30 days?

* **If you have not requested cancellation**, the subscription is activated automatically, in the monthly fee tier corresponding to the volume of monitored items. Access continues normally, without interruption.
* The **first monthly fee is prorated** for the days between the end of the trial and the end of that month. The onboarding (setup) fee, when applicable, starts being charged with that invoice.
* The trial days are recorded in the billing audit, but they **are not included** in the average that determines the billed tier.
* If the billing information is not complete, Power Monitor displays the **"Billing information required"** notice and asks an administrator to fill it in to keep using the system.

### How do I cancel before the end?

Use the **"here"** link in the trial notice (it opens a cancellation request email to the support team) or write to **<suporte@powermonitor.com.br>** before the expiration date. See [Can I cancel Power Monitor?](/en/perguntas-frequentes/duvidas-gerais/posso-cancelar-o-power-monitor.md)

### I need more time to evaluate

Contact our team on [WhatsApp](https://powermonitor.com.br/whatsapp) before the end of the period.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.powermonitor.com.br/en/perguntas-frequentes/licenciamento/como-funciona-o-trial-de-30-dias.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
